The Anti-discrimination Students’ Movement, a platform for quota protests, has announced that they will hold mass processions nationwide today (August 2).

Abdul Quader, one of the coordinators of the movement, said in a press release on Thursday that they would hold the programme protesting against the mass killings and arrests as well as to press home their nine-point charter of demands.

As per the programme, they would offer prayers at mosques after Jummah prayer and temples, churches, and other places of worship across the country in memory of the killed and injured individuals, and visit the graves of the deceased.

Earlier, the coordinators of anti-discrimination student movement, have announced to continue the movement again after coming out of the custody of the Police (DB).

Bangladesh has arrested more than 10,000 people and banned a major opposition party as part of a crackdown on dissent after weeks of protests.
