Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka for New Delhi on a two-day state visit at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This will be the first bilateral visit by a foreign prime minister after the formation of a new government in the country.
The Prime Minister and her entourage left the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Bangladesh Biman flight at 2:08 pm on Friday (June 21). Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary MM Imrul Kayes confirmed this information.
The flight will land at New Delhi's Palam Airport at 4 pm local time. Indian Foreign Minister in the evening. Sheikh Hasina will meet Prime Minister S Jaishankar at his residence.
A press release sent by the press wing of the Prime Minister's Office last Wednesday informed that this will be Sheikh Hasina's second visit to the Indian capital in less than 15 days. He attended Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony on June 9.
Meanwhile, the red carpet will be laid at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday morning to welcome Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. At this time, the Prime Minister of India will formally welcome him and the national anthems of the two countries will be played. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also visit the Guard of Honour. He will then pay his respects at Rajghat by placing wreaths at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. There he will sign the visitation book.
Sheikh Hasina will visit Hyderabad House on the same day for a private meeting and delegation-level talks with Narendra Modi. Both will witness the MoU and Agreement signing ceremony. The two Prime Ministers will then make their statements. They will attend a banquet hosted by the Prime Minister of India in honor of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh at Hyderabad House.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will meet Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar at the Secretariat in the afternoon. In the evening, Sheikh Hasina will meet Indian President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Prime Minister is expected to leave the Indian capital from New Delhi's Palam Airport on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 6 pm and land in Dhaka at 9 pm
