Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the lockdown would not be extended. There will be no lockdown in the country from August 5. He said this when he was asked whether the lockdown would be extended in the country after August 5.
The Home Minister said this in a private conversation with a media person in the office room of the Home Ministry in the capital on Wednesday. Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said a comprehensive program has been undertaken to conduct vaccination activities among people of all walks of life across the country. “I personally am not in favor of the lockdown. Coronavirus cannot be prevented by lockdown alone. It is just an element to prevent the outbreak,” he also said.
To prevent coronavirus, everyone must wear a mask and follow hygiene rules. “People will be 80 percent safe if they wear masks and follow hygiene rules,” Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said. Therefore, special instructions have been given to the law enforcement agencies to “force the public to wear masks and abide by the hygiene rules”. Soon members of the law enforcement agencies will be on the ground as per the instructions, the Home Minister added.
