State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury said that some Japanese private companies have offered to hire skilled manpower from Bangladesh.
He said this after the meeting of 11 representatives of various Japanese companies with the state minister in the conference room of the ministry on Sunday (June 9).
Shafiqur Rahman said, Japanese companies have expressed interest in hiring more skilled professionals, technical and construction workers from Bangladesh. We have requested them to apply following the proper procedure.
TTC will be arranged for the Japanese delegation to provide them with necessary technical training, he said, where they will provide training to interested workers and will be able to select qualified ones.
According to the Japanese delegation, they need a good number of skilled workers. The delegation was led by Masafumi Yurigumi of Yurigumi Maritime Company Limited, Japan.
Shafiqur Rahman said that the investigation committee is working on the matter regarding the Malaysian labor market situation, the expiry of the deadline for reporting and complaints by the investigation committee. Details will be given after the investigation is over.
Besides, the state minister also said that necessary measures will be taken for those who are affected in going to Malaysia.
