If the chance of nation building is lost, Bangladesh will lag behind: Dr. Yunus

The chief adviser of the interim government called for unitedly advancing the opportunity for nation building. Muhammad Yunus. He said, if this opportunity is lost, Bangladesh will be far behind.

He said these things at the formation ceremony of Naval and Air Force Selection Board in Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday (October 27) morning. He also urged everyone to forget differences and work for the sake of the country.

Through this ceremony, the council of the two forces was formed. The Chief Adviser hoped that the Navy and Air Force would stand by the people with the same efficiency as always in this journey of the nation.

He expressed hope that the people would get the same support as they had in the past. He urged the board of directors to perform their duties properly to lead with efficiency.

The Chief Advisor of the Interim Government urged to maintain this clause in the future citing the role of the armed forces in spite of various adversities. He said to the armed forces, the way you have continued to move forward despite various adversities in recent times, really shows professionalism. I firmly believe that it will continue in the future.

The Inter-Services Public Relations Department (ISPR) said that the chief adviser. Muhammad Yunus directed the members of the selection board to emphasize on professional skills, leadership qualities, standards of discipline, honesty, trustworthiness and loyalty and above all, employability of the officers for promotion. Besides, he commented that the officers with honest, ethical and other qualities of leadership deserve higher promotion.

The Chief Adviser directs the selection for promotion of those officers who have succeeded in providing competent leadership in various activities of military life. Chief Adviser was welcomed by Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan on arrival at the venue. Chief of Navy and Air Force expressed gratitude and thanks to the Chief Adviser for being present in the midst of busy schedule and inaugurating the election board.

The inauguration ceremony of 'Navy and Air Force Selection Board-2024' was attended by senior officers of Navy and Air Force as well as Special Assistant to Chief Adviser on Defense and National Integration Development, Principal Staff Officer of Department of Armed Forces and Defense Secretary. 

At the end of the ceremony, the Chief Adviser participated in a photo shoot with the senior officers of the Navy and Air Force present and recorded his valuable comments in the inspection book. Later he planted a sapling of a fruit tree in the premises of Air Force Headquarters.
