Crack Platoon FFs accorded reception

Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry and Hotel Intercontinental Saturday accorded reception to valiant freedom fighters of Crack Platoon who conducted "Operation Hit and Run" at Hotel Intercontinental during the great 1971 Liberation War.

The reception was accorded on the occasion of Mujib Year at a seminar on 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Hotel Intercontinental which has memories of Liberation War' at Hotel Intercontinental.


Crack Platoon members Mofajjal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, Habibul Alam Bir Pratik, Ali Ahmed Ziauddin Bir Pratik, Abdus Samad Bir Pratik, Shaheed Abu Bakar Bir Bikram, Munir Alam Mirza Badal and two staff of Hotel Intercontinental who embraced martyrdom, Shaheed Khawja Nijamuddin Ahmed Bir Uttam and Shaheed Osman were accorded reception.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal joined the ceremony as the chief guest while State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali chaired it.

Awami League leader and valiant freedom fighter Mofajjal Hossain Chowdhury Maya Bir Bikram, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Civil Aviation and Tourism RAM Obaidul Moktadir Chowdhury, Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md Mokammel Hossain, Crack Platoon members Habibul Alam Bir Pratik and Ali Ahmed Bir Pratik spoke, among others.

Barrister Moin Goni presented the keynote paper in the seminar.
