Compulsory retirement of three additional IGPs including Harun

Additional IGP barrister of RAB recently former director general of police headquarters. The government has sent three additional IGPs, including Haroon Or Rashid, on compulsory retirement.

Three separate notifications from the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday ordered the compulsory retirement of these three officers .

According to the order of the president, the senior secretary of the public security department of the ministry. Mohammad Abdul Momen signed three declarations.

The other two officers are the Chief Additional IGP of the Highway Police. Shahabuddin Khan and former Additional Commissioner of DMP (Additional IGP Supernumerary) currently working in Tourist Police. b. Mahid Uddin

It is said in the notification, BCS (Police) cadre member of Police Headquarters Additional IGP Barrister Md. Haroon Or Rashid, Chief Additional IGP of Highway Police. Shahabuddin Khan and tourist police Dr. b. Mahid Uddin has been retired from service in the public interest as per the provisions of Section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). They will be entitled to retirement benefits as per rules.

On June 5, Additional IGP Barrister Md. was appointed as the 10th Director General (DG) of Elite Force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB). Haroon or Rashid.

Shahabuddin Khan served as director of DMP, RAB-12, RAB-10, RAB-4 during the Awami League government.

Dr. b. Mahid Uddin was transferred to DMP in 2023 when he was DIG of Khulna range. He was then posted as Additional Commissioner of Crime and Operations, DMP.

After the fall of Awami League government, he was transferred from DMP and given the responsibility of tourist police.
