Bangabandhu crop-field mosaic breaks Guinness Records

The Guinness World Records (GWR) website has formally published the recognition of Bangabandhu's biggest portrait as the largest crop field mosaic. “The largest crop field mosaic (image) was achieved by AFM Bahauddin Nasim and KSM Mostafizur Rahman in an attempt organized by National AgriCare,” the GWR’s official website said.   

The  crop mosaic depicts the Bangladesh’s Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that was commemorate the Birth Centenary of the Bangladesh’s funding father, it said.   

The image of  the Bangabandhu on paddy field was made in Balenda village of Sherpur upazila of Bogura's Shibganj.

Bangabandhu Jatiya Parishad started preparations for this work on 105 bighas of land, two months back in collaboration with a non-governmental organisation, National Agricare (NAC) marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation.

NAC Managing Director KSM Mostafizur Rahman said, Bangabandhu's portrait 'Shasyachitre Bangabandhu' has made Guinness World Record, taking Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to a new height to the global people, especially new generation.

“This would not have been possible without the support of NAC team and we dedicated this achievement to all the farmers of Bangladesh,” he said. This is a new record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Crop Field Mosaic (image) of a national leader was the previous record was made by China.
