Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said stern action will be taken against the leaseholder if dengue larvae found in sacrificial cattle market.
The Mayor warned while participating in the opening ceremony of the program titled 'Special Cleanliness and Mosquito Extermination Combing Campaign' at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Monday (June 10) morning.
He said that a control room will be opened from July 1 to prevent dengue.
People are requested to provide information related to dengue patients and source of larvae of all the wards under DSCC area, he said.
“We are starting a control cell to prevent dengue larvae in sacrificial cattle market. Magistrate will do a regular monitoring. Besides, action will be taken against leaseholder if mismanagement occurs in cattle market,” Mayor added.
