The Election Commission (EC) released the updated draft voter list information in a press briefing on Thursday morning.
Election Commissioner Brigadier General (Retd.) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah presented various information about the updated draft voter list this morning at the Election Building in Agargaon in the capital.
Election Commissioner Brig Gen Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah shared that some 1.8 million new voters have been included in the draft.
Among the 1,833,352 newly registered voters, 1,185,516 males, 647,774 females and 62 transgender persons were included in the draft list.
The Election Commission will release the final updated electoral rolls on March 02, 2025 (the voter day) after resolving complaints on the draft list, if any.
According to the updated draft list, there are now a total of 63,330,103 are male voters, 60,352,515 are female voters and 994 are transgender voters in the country.
