The Ministry of Religion on Friday (May 24) said about 39,000 Bangladeshi pilgrims have landed in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
This information was disclosed by the Ministry in a regular Hajj bulletin.
According to bulletin, a total of 38, 990 Bangladeshi pilgrims in 98 flights have reached in Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Hajj.
Among the Hajj pilgrims 3, 747 reached under government management and 35, 243 under private management. Apart from that, 84, 545 visas have been issued so far, said the bulletin.
Besides, another pilgrim named Murtazur Rahman Khan, from Dhaka’s Nawabganj died in Mecca on Thursday (May 23).
However, till now five Bangladeshi pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia, added the bulletin.
