The Interim Government's Advisory Council has approved the list of public holidays for 2025.
Today, Thursday (October 17), the chief advisor, Professor Dr. The list of holidays was approved in the advisory council meeting chaired by Muhammad Yunus.
According to the list of approved holidays, there will be 12 (times) days of general holidays on the occasion of national days and important religious occasions of various communities. Among these holidays are five weekends (3 Fridays and two Saturdays).
Apart from this, there will be 14 (fourteen) days official holiday on the occasion of Bengali New Year and various important religious festivals. Four of these are weekends (two each on Friday and Saturday).
On the other hand, on the occasion of religious occasions, the employees of the republic can enjoy a maximum of three days of optional leave in a year. One of these holidays is a weekend.
It has been proposed to declare 12 days of general holidays and 14 days of public holidays for 2025. 9 days of total holidays proposed are weekends.
