Bangladesh beat India in a tiebreaker in the final

Bangladesh reached the final of the SAFF U-20 Championship after defeating India 4-3 in a tiebreaker. The match was tied 1-1 at the scheduled time.

Bangladesh went ahead with Asadul Mollah's goal in the 35th minute of the match. But in the 74th minute of the second half, India's Ricky Mitty Habam equalized. There are no extra time games in the knock out matches of SAFF age group competitions. The penalty shoot out started immediately after the match.

The first shot for India was missed by Thanglalshol Gante. Bangladesh goalkeeper Mohammad Asif jumped to the right and blocked the shot. Then Pius Nova, Parvez Ahmed, Shakeel Ahad Tapu and Moinul Islam scored in the remaining four shots for Bangladesh. India could not hit the target in their fifth shot.
