Among the remittances sent by expatriates, 541.3 million US dollars came through private commercial banks.
Apart from this, 17 crore 24 lakh 80 thousand dollars came through state-owned commercial banks, 1 crore 90 thousand dollars through specialized banks and 24 lakh 20 thousand US dollars through foreign banks.
Earlier, in January of this year, 210 million dollars, 216 million 60 million dollars in February, 199 million 68 million dollars in March, 204 million 30 million dollars in April and 225 million dollars were sent by expatriates in May.
According to Central Bank data, in January 2023, expatriates sent remittances of 195.88 million dollars. In addition, $156 million in February, $202 million in March, $168 million in April, $169 million in May, $220 million in June, $197 million in July, $159 million in August, $133 million in September, $197 million in October, $193 million in November and $193 million in December. 199 billion dollar remittance.
