USAID representative Anjali Kar said that the United States has signed an agreement worth 200 million dollars with the interim government for the development of Bangladesh.

This representative of the United States said that this money was given under the Development Cooperation Agreement at the Rashtriya Guest House Padma on Sunday (September 15) at 11:00 am.

Anjali Kar said, it is good to be a part of the US delegation for the first time during the new interim government of Bangladesh. We have signed an agreement with the government. Under this, 200 million dollars will be given to the priority sectors of the government. We want to work with the interim government. We will now work according to the agreement. This agreement is mainly to advance the priority works of the government.

He said that this agreement will play a role in the inclusive prosperity of the people of Bangladesh. This means increasing economic stability. We focus on health, governance. We are looking at empowering the youth so that they can play a role for the country. The people of Bangladesh are the main priority here. I am Dr. I would like to thank Yunus and other advisors. A very important discussion was held with them. We look forward to working together more in the future.

Brent Neiman, Deputy Under Secretary of the US Department of Revenue, led the US delegation at the meeting. US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu was present at the meeting.

At 9:30 am the delegation reached the Rashtriya Guest House Padma. The Department of Economic Relations and USAID's Development Objectives Grant signed a grant amendment agreement. Apart from this, important discussions were held with the financial adviser on money laundering, tax reform and economic cooperation.
