Two earthquakes hit northern Mongolian province of Khuvsgul Thursday night, the Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics reported on Friday.
An earthquake with a magnitude of around 5.1 occurred in Khankh soum, an administrative subdivision of the province at around 00:42 a.m. local time (1642 GMT), the institute said in a statement.
Later at 03:46 a.m. local time (1746 GMT), a magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit the soum, the institute said.
The quakes were felt across the province, but no damage has been reported, it said.
