What will BJP do if it does not get a majority?

In India's Lok Sabha election results so far, the country's ruling political party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has not secured a single majority to form the government. This picture was seen in the results published by the Election Commission till 3 pm local time on Tuesday. Apart from this, there is no glimpse of the majority of India, the opposition alliance of the country. Political analysts have commented that there is no other option but to form a coalition government in the country.

In response to a question from reporters on this issue, BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli said, "We have to wait more to get the final picture of who will win how many seats in the Lok Sabha." The vote counting process is still in the initial stage.

In an interview to the country's television channel India TV, Kohli said, "At the moment it can be said that winning 400 seats is a long shot."

He made the comments regarding the results of the booth return polls which suggested that the BJP-led NDA alliance could win 400 seats. "But we have to wait...there is no option but to wait to get a final picture of the seats," said the BJP spokesperson. Because Booth's return polls told us of a massive victory. But the current trend in calculations doesn't seem to match that.''

Kohli said, "BJP-NDA will form the government. And it's very clear from the very beginning.''

The BJP-led NDA alliance is leading in 294 seats, according to the results released till 3 pm local time on Tuesday. Out of this, Narendra Modi's BJP got 241 seats. And allies Telugu Desam Party (TDP) - 16, Janata Dal (United) - 14, Lok Janashakti Party (Ram Vilas) - 5 and Janata Dal won two seats.

On the other hand, the Congress-led opposition India Alliance is ahead in 232 seats. Out of this only Congress got 99 seats. Besides, Samajwadi Party- 35, Trinamool Congress- 29, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)- 21, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray)- 10, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar)- 7, Yuvajan Sramik Raithu Congress Party (YSRCP)- 4 and Indian Communist Party (Marxist) - (CPIM) is leading in four seats.

A party or coalition needs to win 272 seats to form a government in India's 543-seat Lok Sabha.
