Weapons, drugs and other items were recovered


RAB-12 Kushtia conducted a record operation in February and recovered weapons, yaba tablets, heroin, cannabis, phensidyl and other drugs including counterfeit money. This is known to be the highest success in the last one and a half years. Besides, 16 illegal brick kilns have been raided at different times and fined Tk 83 lakh. These operations were conducted under the leadership of Major Gaffaruzzaman, Company Commander, RAB-12-CPC-1, Kushtia.

Company Commander Major Gaffaruzzaman gave this information while exchanging views with journalists at RAB-12 Kushtia Camp on Monday morning. According to the information given by him, during the raids at different times in the month of February, 2 weapons, one shotgun, 2 cartridges, 2271 yaba tablets, 8 grams of heroin, 15 kg of cannabis, 648 bottles of phensidyl, 16,500 taka were counterfeited. 1 bottle of foreign liquor, 5 cans of beer, 40 liters of distilled liquor, 1,250 pitch of foreign tablets, 400 fake appointment letters were recovered from the members of the fraudulent gang in the name of giving fake jobs, 2 sharp knives, 36 pathedil injections, 51 mobile phones, 1 motorcycle. 

A total of 32 cases have been filed against 41 people. In addition, 16 illegal brickfields were raided and fined of Tk 63 lakh were collected through mobile courts. He told Bangladesh News that, “With the overall cooperation of the people of Kushtia, we will be able to eradicate drugs, arms dealers and terrorism from the district.” So he sought the cooperation of all.
