Transfer of 81 judges at once


The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has ordered the transfer of 81 judges serving in various positions of judicial courts.

A notification was issued by the Law and Justice Department of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Thursday (August 29) transferring them.

The transferred judges include 44 senior assistant judges and assistant judges, 22 district and sessions judges and 15 additional and joint district judges.

According to the notification, these officers of Bangladesh Judicial Service have been transferred in consultation with the Supreme Court by order of the President.

The transferred District Judges have been directed to join the transferred posts by handing over charge to the next senior officer/designate of the District and Sessions Judge/Head of Office by September 3.

Immediate transfer of transferred Senior Assistant Judges and Assistant Judges to the District and Sessions Judge/Chief Metropolitan Magistrate/Chief Judicial Magistrate or Head of Department Designated Officer on 3rd September and Judges on training/vacation on joining duty after training/vacation. The notification is directed to join the workplace.

The notification directs the transferred Additional District Judges and Joint District Judges to join the transferred posts by assigning their current post to the designated officer of the District and Sessions Judge/Metropolitan Magistrate/Head of Office by September 3.
