Tigers end series 4-1

Bangladesh Cricket Team thrashed Australia to their lowest T20I score. Their previous best was 79. Bangladesh won by 60 runs to win the fifth and final T20I at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.

Shakib Al Hasan picked up four wickets and also reached a unique milestone as Bangladesh bundled out Australia. After posting a modest total of 122 for eight, Bangladesh bowlers, led by Shakib, bundled out Australia for a meagre 62 in 13.4 overs.  Mohammad Saifuddin grabbed 3 for 12 as Bangladesh choked Australia, not for the first time, with spin. It was a nightmarish end to a tough tour for Australia. As if losing the series wasn't enough, in the final T20I, they lost 8 for 24 to collapse to 62 all out in a chase of 123. 

Earlier, skipper Mahmudullah had won the toss and elected to bat first and posted 122 for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs, opener Mohammad Naim top-scoring with 23.  The Tigers made two changes to the playing XI from the fourth T20I, bringing in Mosaddek Hossain and Saifuddin in place of Shamim Hossain and Shariful Islam. The Aussies also made two changes with Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis coming in for Andrew Tye and Josh Hazlewood.

Christian sent Naim trudging back to the pavilion with a mistimed reverse hit that was caught by Ashton Agar at backward point. It was Christian's first wicket since he got England's Jos Buttler out in a T20 match in February 2014. He cut short Soumya Sarkar's innings on 16 and returned impressive figures of 2-17. Quick bowler Nathan Ellis, who took a hat-trick in his debut match -- the 3rd T20 of the five-match series -- also took two key wickets as Bangladesh managed just 20 runs from the last five overs. Australia needed 123 to get another consolation win after their victory in the fourth match. But this time they failed badly.
