TIB extended time to submit the report
Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has extended the deadline for submission of reports by journalists working in Bangladeshi-owned newspapers, online and television channels till June 25, 2021 to award the Corruption Investigative Journalism Award. Prizes will be awarded for publishing or disseminating investigative reports on ‘All Types of Corruption’ in the first category and only ‘Corruption in Climate Change Project’ in the second category from 1 January to 31 December 2020. Besides, other rules related to rewards remain unchanged.
Considering the situation arising out of Covid-19, the report will be submitted only by e-mail and the e-mail should be sent to this address advocacy@ti-bangladesh.org.
In case of sending the report, the word 'Investigative Journalism Award 2021' should be mentioned as the subject of the e-mail. Scanned copy of the original report of print media, in case of online report submission, link of original report should be sent in the form of document file. Corruption investigative reports and documentaries in the television department must be accompanied by a YouTube link to the official channel or a link to the report uploaded to Google Drive (with permission to download) along with the full script.
Documents required for sending the report such as, Scanned copy of the certificate of the head of the organization from which the contestant made the report, passport size photograph of the reporter, name in Bengali and English, contact address and telephone number must be enclosed with the application form in the form of document file.
Prizes will be awarded for investigative reporting in the three categories of National Newspaper Division, Regional Newspaper Division and Television Division of Investigative News Reporting and Investigative Documentary.
