Three deaths , 48 affected in Chadpur


Chandpur is becoming a corona hotspot. The number of victims is increasing. Since the start of the second wave of corona, the number of corona patients in the district has been increasing rapidly. As a result of not following the rules of hygiene, the number of deaths and injuries is high, said Dr. Shahmiran Hospital Chairman. AM Wasik Faisal. He said no one was following the health rules. As a result, Chandpur has become a hotspot for corona.

In Chandpur, on April 6 (in 24 hours), three people died of corona. Among them there are two from Shahrashti and one from Kachua. AH Rob Patwari (65), of Naora area of Shahrashti upazila, died at his home around on Tuesday and Kaiturennesa (65), of Waruk area of the same upazila died on Wednesday.

Abdul Matin, a staff member of Chandpur Palli Bidyut Samiti's Kachua office  died at Comilla Medical College Hospital Tuesday. They were all affected by Corona.

Corona of 47 more people was identified in Chandpur district on Wednesday. 24 in Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 12 in Hajiganj, three in Shahrashti, five in Faridganj, one in Kachua, two in Matlab South and one in Haimchar.

The number of new cases has increased to 3459 in the district. At present 473 people are undergoing treatment, 26 are undergoing treatment in the isolation ward of Chandpur Sadar Hospital. The rest are in home isolation.

The current upazila-wise statistics of 3459 people affected by Corona in Chandpur district are: 1569 in Chandpur Sadar, 365 in Faridganj, 338 in Matlab South, 312 in Hajiganj, 298 in Shahrasti, 254 in Matlab North, 12 in Haimchar and one in Kachua.

The upazila-wise statistics of 95 deaths in Corona district are: 32 in Chandpur Sadar, 18 in Hajiganj, 14 in Faridganj, 11 in Matlab North, 9 in Shahrasti, 8 in Kachua, 5 in Matlab South and one in Haimchar.

Dr. Civil Surgeon. Sakhawat Ullah confirmed the deaths of two people in Shahrashti Upazila on Wednesday night. The official added that the death toll was much higher. We have not yet received much news from the Upazila Health Complex.

He said if anyone in Chandpur was identified as infected, he would be on the list of the dead in the district even if he died elsewhere.

He said that in order to avoid the global epidemic, coronation must be followed. Must wear regular mask. Public gatherings should be avoided. Hands should be washed frequently with soap for 20 seconds. Only then can we get rid of the epidemic.
