Journalists present at the post-budget press conference announced a boycott of Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukdar. As a result, he did not speak again.
The incident took place at the post-budget press conference organized by the Finance Ministry at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium on Friday (June 7).

Mahbub Hossain, Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukdar, National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Munim.
At the beginning of the question and answer session, President of Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) Refait Ullah Mirdha said that the current governor of Bangladesh Bank has stopped the access of journalists to Bangladesh Bank for a long time. We demanded the withdrawal of this ban, but the governor did not comply. That is why we will boycott the governor's speech today.
At this time, the governor signaled to the finance minister that he will not make a speech.
