Technical training to international employment: Ansar-VDP trainee gets job offer in Sicily*
Md. Murad Hossain of Bishpara village, Badalgachhi upazila, Naogaon, has received a final offer of a high-paying job in the African island nation of Sicily after undergoing training in refrigeration and air conditioning at the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force Regional Technical Training Centre, Dinajpur. This achievement is a notable example of the force's ongoing initiatives to develop skills, provide technical training and create post-training employment opportunities.
Md. Murad Hossain received training in refrigeration and air conditioning from the Regional Technical Training Centre, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, Dinajpur. By utilizing the technical skills he has acquired, he has been able to create employment opportunities in the international labor market. According to the information provided by the concerned authorities, his visa and necessary documents are expected to be sent from Sicily within the next three months.
As part of the final nomination process for a job in Sicily, the concerned authorities interviewed him online. In this case, the force initiated arrangements for an interview at the Ansar-VDP Academy located in Safipur, Gazipur. The commander of the Safipur Ansar Battalion and the director of the Project Training Directorate of the force's headquarters provided overall support in this process. This cooperation of the concerned officers to facilitate the trainee's employment path is a reflection of the force's training and employment support activities.
It is worth noting that in July this year, Murad Hossain got a job opportunity in an organization of the PRAN-RFL Group with the cooperation of the Dinajpur District Ansar and VDP office. Earlier, he also got a job offer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. However, he said that he was not able to go to Dubai at that time due to family problems. Later, getting a final job offer in Sicily has created new possibilities for him to advance in his career by utilizing his technical skills.
Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force is conducting multi-faceted training programs to develop the skills of its members and create employment opportunities in line with the needs of the domestic and international labor market. Under this, various demand-based technical and professional training including Japanese language education (N4 and N5 levels), 6G welding, mason, driving, as well as cultural adaptation programs are being implemented. In addition, a mobile IT training center bus has recently been added to develop computer and information technology-based skills. Coordination and post-training cooperation initiatives with foreign organizations are also ongoing to link training with real employment. Murad Hossain's final offer of a high-paying job in Sicily after training in refrigeration and air conditioning is a shining example of the practical application and effectiveness of these employment-oriented trainings. Such initiatives are creating the potential to develop skilled human resources, expand employment opportunities at home and abroad, and make significant contributions to the socio-economic development of its members.
