Tamim back in batting practice
Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal begins batting practice on Sunday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Tamim came to practice at 12:00 pm in Mirpur ground and trained for 40 minutes, he was seen to play stunning shots during practice. Tamim Iqbal will took part in the upcoming Nepal's Everest Premier League (EPL) after recovering from a knee injury, however, the cricketer has decided to opt-out of the T20 World Cup. Tamim is set to play for Bhairahawa Gladiators in the tournament and he will be flying to Nepal on September 24.
He was also named the icon player for the franchise. West Indies Chris Gayle, South Africa’s Hashim Amla, Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane, Sri Lanka's Dinesh Chandimal and Upul Tharanga, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan will feature in the Nepal Premier League. EPL will start on September 25 and the 14-day event will finish on October 9.
