Suspension on Praava Health services lifted
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has decided to allow Praava Health to resume its services following a ban earlier citing alleged anomalies.
The health authorities issued a letter on Monday in this connection signed by Dr Farid Hossain Miah, director of hospitals and clinics at the DGHS.
According to the letter, Praava Health authorities will be allowed to resume their service by reforming the previous irregularities and fulfilling some conditions set by the DGHS. The organization will have to install a bio-safety cabinet at the PCR room and set up a pass box to move samples from PCR room to master-mix room, as per the conditions.
The health authorities also warned that they would revoke license of Praava Health if further irregularities were found.
Earlier, the health authorities launched an investigation against the organization over alleged false Covid-19 test reports.
Later, a probe committee, after visiting the organization, found some irregularities such as charging Tk150 extra for registration after the Tk2,500 charge per Covid-19, donning and doffing of PPE in the same room which is hazardous, among others.
On August 2, DGHS suspended the activities of Praava Health after finding proof of the anomalies in their operations.
