Surveillance operation of BSTI held

The surveillance operations were conducted in various areas of Bogura district under the initiative of BSTI Divisional Office Rajshahi (Attachment Bogura) with the aim of checking weights and measures and product packaging and quality control.
In the said operation, the factory was inspected in view of the application for receiving BSTI certificate for the products (bread, biscuit, cake) produced by Akbaria Bread and Biscuit Factory in Thana Road area of Sadar Upazila and the measurement was found to be correct by checking the weighing machine and the recommendation to take the verification certificate. 
In the second bypass road area, M/s BCL Ceramic Company's tiles products are not having choice certificate and it is advised to adopt them. In view of the application of underground storage tanks, pre-operational preparatory activities are inspected.
M/s Mushfiq Filling Station Establishment of Sariakandi Upazila Dispensing units are found to be accurate within acceptable limits of measurement and pre-operational inspection is carried out in view of its application of 40,000 liter underground storage tank.
As per the application of M/s Ghatish Filling Station of Sadar Upazila, 2 flow-controlling devices are found to be accurate in measurement and sealed and other dispensing units are found to be accurate within the acceptable limits of measurement. As per the application of M/s Bogra Filling Station 3 flow-controlling devices are sealed and other dispensing units are found to be accurate within the acceptable limits of measurement. Recommendations are made for upgradation of underground storage tanks.
Dispensing units of M/s Three Star Filling Station at Sakpala area are found to be accurate within the acceptable limits of measurement and flow-controlling device devices are sealed in view of application of 2 dispensing units. Dispensing units of M/s Charmatha Filling Station in Charmatha area are found within acceptable limits of measurement.
The expedition was conducted by BSTI Divisional Office Rajshahi (Attachment Bogura) Assistant Director (Metrology) Engineer Animesh Majumder and Inspector (Metrology) Md. Shah Alam Palash Khan.
Assistant Director (Metrology) of BSTI Divisional Office Rajshahi Engineer Animesh Majumder said that such operations will continue in the public interest of the consumers of Bogura district.
