Stucks in Mumbai
Shyam Banegal, a talented Indian film director, is making a biopic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prarthana Fardin Dighi is playing the role of Bangabandhu's wife Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib in this biopic. Dighi went to Film City of Mumbai on March 25 to take part in the shooting of the second lot. She has worked there for several days in a row. But now Dighir is not returning as she is not getting a ticket to return to the country due to Corona.
Arifin Shuvo, the popular hero of the time, is playing the role of Bangabandhu in this biopic.
Speaking on her mobile phone from Mumbai, Dighi expressed her feelings about playing the role of Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib. “I still pinch myself to see if this is true. It's really a privilege to play the role of such a great woman, but it's even more challenging to play that character. But it is a big truth that the way the revered Shyam Banegal Sir explained to me before acting in every scene and he appreciated my after acting, then what else can be achieved. I think I got my receipt before everyone saw the biopic. Many many thanks to Arifin Shubho Vaiya, because he is basically my main co-star as he is playing the role of Bangabandhu. He is cooperating with me in every scene. It is most important to get support from a co-artist. The director and my co-stars are relaxing before acting in front of the camera. It was much more urgent for acting.’
Meanwhile, the movie 'Tungi Parar Mia Bhai' starring Dighi was released last Friday. Dighi has also played the role of Fazilatunnesa Mujib in this movie. However, the importance of Fazilatunnesa Mujib's character in the biopic is much more important to Dighi.
Dighi has already completed the work of Sumon Dhar's 'Chithi'. In this, Yash Rohan is opposite her.
