Soundtek cancelled the contract with Nobel
Soundtek, a leading music production company, has cancelled its contract with Mainul Ahsan Nobel, a popular and critically acclaimed young singer in the net world.
Sultan Mahmud Babul, the head of the organisation, confirmed the matter on Tuesday. He said the organisation did it because of "disagreement".
"Our agreement with Nobel was cancelled two days before Eid-ul-Fitr because of the non-compliance with the conditions," he said. “We were talking about audio songs. But he wants to make a big budget video. There are also behavioural problems.”
Regarding the behaviour, the music producer added, "It's not possible for me to work with him (Nobel). I didn't like his attitude, so I cancelled the contract. '
In December 2020, Nobel signed a contract with Soundtek to release 22 audio songs. Already two of those titles ‘Asohay’ and ‘Avinoy’ have come up. Two more songs including 'Meherban' are awaiting release. This song is supposed to be released on the eighth day of Eid. However, it is a disaster.
Sultan Mahmud Babul said, "We canceled the agreement on the 28th of Ramadan. Nobel submitted two songs. Then I give him the money he deserves. On the eighth day of Eid, 'Meherban' is supposed to be published. But I heard that the melody and music director of the song, Ahmed Humayun, has been abused by Nobel. So the composer did not sign on the agreement paper for publication. According to the copyright law, the owner of the song is Ahmed Humayun. I don't know if it will be published at all.”
On the other hand, private media outlet Somoy Media Limited has filed a general diary at the police station against the criticized singer-YouTuber Mainul Ahsan Nobel.
They filed the GD on May 17 after threatening to kidnap and imprison the organisation's online journalist Al Kachir.
