Single-day Covid-19 deaths stand at 36, new cases 1,457
Bangladesh reported 36 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total death count to 12,284.
During this period, the fatality rate was 1.56%, according to the data provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, 1,457 more people were infected with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, which took the case cout to 7,85,194.
In the preceding 24 hours, the positivity rate was recorded at 7.50% after testing 19,437 samples in 482 labs across the country.
The country's maiden cases were reported on 8 March last year and the first death from the virus was reported on 18 March.
India recorded 276,110 new cases of the coronavius disease (Covid-19) in a 24-hour span, the Union health ministry data showed on Thursday morning. The total tally of the viral infection now stands at 25,772,440.
It also saw a slight drop in daily fatalities, with 3,874 more people succumbing to the disease in the 24 hours span, reports Hindustan Times.
Covid-19 has claimed 3,432,531 lives worldwide and infected 165,589,002 people so far, according to the data provided by Worldometer.
