Seven day countrywide lockdown begins to contain COVID-19

The seven day lockdown began Monday across the country to tackle the rising trend of global pandemic COVID-19. The countrywide lockdown started in line with a government notification issued Sunday.

The notification said lockdown will continue from April 5 to April 11 to halt the sharp increase of COVID-19 in the country.

According to the notification, movement of public transports — bus, train, launch and plane — remained suspended while public and private offices as well as business establishments have been closed due to lockdown.
