Prince not available for Australia series
Ashwell Prince, the batting consultant of Bangladesh team won’t be available for Australia series, according to a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) source.
He is going to his home country to resolve his contract issue with South Africa 'A' team. As a result, the batting coach of the Bangladesh team has asked for leave from the Australia series. On Tuesday, BCB said they are hopeful to extend the contract with the South African batting consultant at least till the end of the T20 World Cup. BCB appointed Sri Lanka's Rangana Herath as Tigers' spin bowling consultant and South Africa's Prince as their batting consultant last month. While Herath was contracted till the end of the T20 World Cup in October-November, Prince was appointed only for the tour of Zimbabwe.
After appointing Prince, Bangladesh got great success in batting unit in Zimbabwe tour. The Tigers whitewashed the hosts in the three-match ODI series after winning the only Test by a huge margin of 218 runs. Tiger have also clinched the T20 series 2-1. Bangladesh and Australia will play a five-match T20I series, which will commence on August 3. The remaining matches will be played on August 4, 6, 7 and 9. All the matches will be staged at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
