People's welfare was Bangabandhu's vow: Anisul Haque

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Advocate Anisul Haque Saturday said the welfare of the people was the vow of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"We will do whatever is necessary for the welfare of the people under the leadership of his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he added.

The minister made the comments virtually as the chief guest while distributing Eid items among 600 families at the initiative of Abdul Monem Limited at Taragan village in Akhaura upazila of the district this afternoon.

Akhaura Municipality Mayor Takzil Khalifa Kajal, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rumana Akter, Upazila Awami League President Mohammad Ali Chowdhury and District Council Member Ataur Rahman Nazim, among others, were present at the function.
