One day ahead Monday 'March to Dhaka'


Asif Mahmud, the coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, has announced that the protestors' 'March to Dhaka' program has been changed from August 6 to August 5.

He said this information in a message sent to the media on Sunday (August 4).

Asif Mahmud said, in an urgent decision to review the situation, our 'March to Dhaka' program was changed from August 6 to August 5. In other words, I am calling on students from all over the country to travel to Dhaka tomorrow.

He said that about half a hundred students have lost their lives today. The time has come for the final answer. Especially from the surrounding districts, everyone will come to Dhaka and those who can leave for Dhaka today. After arriving in Dhaka, the liberation student crowd took a stand on the streets.

Asif Mahmud also said that the time has come for the final fight, the final signature of this student citizen uprising. Everyone come to Dhaka from the history part. Come to Dhaka by tomorrow as you can. Students will create a new Bangladesh.

Earlier, a notification announced the unveiling of martyrs' memorial plaques in memory of the martyrs across the country on Monday (August 5). Apart from this, a labor rally was called at Shahbagh at 11 am and a women's rally at 5 pm. The next day, Tuesday (August 6), students, citizens and workers from all over the country were called to come to Dhaka. Which is named as Long March to Dhaka. Now the Long March to Dhaka program has been brought forward by one day.

Meanwhile, 44 people have been killed in 14 districts till noon on Sunday (August 4), the first day of non-cooperation movement of the anti-discrimination student movement. Among them, two were killed in Munshiganj, five in Magura, three in Pabna, three in Rangpur, seven in Sirajganj, one in Barisal, three in Bhola, two in Bogra, one in Joypurhat, five in Feni, three in Kishoreganj, one in Debidwar in Comilla, six in Narsingdi and two in Sylhet.
