NPB News Celebrates 6 Million Followers


Digital news platform NPB News has reached a new milestone in Bangladesh's highly competitive digital media landscape. Just nine months after its official launch, the platform has surpassed 6 million followers across Facebook and YouTube. To celebrate the milestone, NPB News hosted a cake-cutting ceremony at its headquarters in the capital on Sunday. The event was attended by State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku as the chief guest. Special guests included State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahmad Sohel Monjur (Sumon), Asia Post Editor Palash Mahmud, and Shomoyer Alo Multimedia In-Charge Saeed Rahman. Heads of digital divisions from various media organisations, corporate personalities, and journalists, officers and staff of NPB News also attended the celebration. Speaking at the event, State Minister Sultan Salauddin Tuku said, "This is the era of digital media. The way people consume news is changing rapidly. In this reality, digital media must play an even greater role by upholding responsible and objective journalism." State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahmad Sohel Monjur Sumon said, "Digital platforms are becoming people's primary source of news. Therefore, alongside delivering information quickly and accurately, maintaining objectivity and credibility is extremely important." Asia Post Editor Palash Mahmud said, "NPB News is one of the fastest-growing digital news platforms. Within a short period, it has earned the trust of readers and viewers and established a remarkable position." NPB News Editor Al Hadi said, "This journey is not merely about numbers; it reflects the audience's trust, reliable journalism, timely presentation, and consistent hard work.
