Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony is coming up

Narendra Modi is going to take charge as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. He was scheduled to be sworn in on Saturday (June 8). But this swearing-in ceremony is getting delayed.

Indian media NDTV reported in a report on Thursday that instead of Saturday, Modi will be sworn in as Prime Minister on Sunday evening.

Narendra Modi was elected as the head of the BJP-led coalition NDA on Wednesday. Through which Modi's path to become Prime Minister is smooth. When Modi is sworn in as Prime Minister next Sunday, he will become the second Indian after Jawaharlal Nehru to become Prime Minister for the third time in a row.

Prime Ministers and Presidents of several South Asian countries have been invited to attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe have already confirmed that they will attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony.

The results of the Indian Lok Sabha elections were announced last Tuesday. After announcing the results, it can be seen that Modi's BJP has won 240 seats in this election. Whereas in 2019 they got 303 seats alone.

BJP getting 240 seats means they no longer have majority in Lok Sabha this time. As a result, Modi is going to become the prime minister as a candidate of the NDA alliance.

Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu are the biggest partners in BJP's NDA alliance. Their parties got 16 and 12 seats respectively. The party of these two is giving great support to Modi in forming the government. Instead, however, Nitish lobbied for four full minister and one state minister post and Chandrababu for three full minister and two state minister posts. Not only that, Chandrababu is also seeking the post of Speaker.

Adding to BJP's problems, Chirag Paswan's LJP in Bihar, Jitanram Manjir Hum, Uttar Pradesh's Apna Dal, Maharashtra's Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena have begun to realize their due. The aim is to pressurize the BJP and get more ministries.

In the pre-poll pact between the BJP and Nitish, Nitish was assured of three full ministerial posts if the NDA came to power. But understanding the situation, Nitish has asked for four full minister posts from the BJP, which is laughing at the lack of majority. According to sources, Nitish's eyes are mainly on infrastructure-related ministries. Which includes ministries like Railways, Rural Development, Water Resources. In addition to the special financial package, Nitish in Bihar in 2023 announced to provide financial assistance of Rs. Elections in Bihar next year. Therefore, Nitish demanded that the Center should increase its share in the current financial year in that five-year project.

On the other hand, Chandrababu's demand, three full minister and two state minister posts. Like Nitish, Chandrababu wants to see his own MPs in the Ministry of Water Resources, Rural Development. The Ministry of Road Transport is also on the list. Besides, Sarab Naidu has been demanding a special financial package for almost a decade to handle the financial pressure of the state due to the breakup of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. According to the sources, at the moment, the state has a debt of three and a half lakh crore rupees. He demanded a special financial package to meet this.
