Musicians celebrate Taposh’s birthday


Renowned musicians of the country celebrated the 38th birthday of popular singer, music composer and producer Kaushik Hossain Taposh. Gaan Bangla Television organised an event marking the day.

The event featured discussion, music show and others. Musicians, namely, Hamin Ahmed, SI Tutul, Parvez, Balam, Arnab, Sunidhi, Milon Mahmud, Mejbah, Tashfi, Adit, Putul, Dola, Kishore, Nolok, Oyshee, Moon, Anika, Dora, Reshmi, Shamim, Hasib, and Puja, among others, attended the event. Besides, Gazi Mazharul Anwar, Alam Khan, Abdul Hadi, Rafikul Alam, Khurshid Alam, Shahin Samad, Abida Sultana, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Kiran Chandra Roy, Fatema Tuz Zohra, Ferdous Ara and Adity Mohsin greeted Taposh with written messages. Rezwana Choudhury Bannya said, ‘When I first met Taposh, I sensed him as a person with a great heart for music. He has been playing a significant role as a composer, organiser, and singer. He also works in a beautiful and organised way, which is a great achievement of Taposh.’ Syed Abdul Hadi said, ‘He has been trying to promote the music and music production of our country to an international level. I have an expectation to him that he would improve the production of music with his creativity. I wish Taposh a happy birthday.’

Fatema Tuj Zohra said, ‘He has been running a television channel, especially songs, at such a young age that simply came to our notice. Everyone has to admit that he has been doing great. If the form of Bangla music changes a little, the next generation will take it very well and will be very thrilled. I really appreciate his creativity.’ In his turn, Taposh said, ‘Every year, I am extremely soaked in love on my birthday…We have to move forward by compensating for the damage done by the Covid-19 crisis. We will make our industry strong by the joint efforts of all. We want to move forward with Bangla music with the aim that our artistes will one day win Grammy Awards.’
