Mushfiq at top of missing chances
Bangladesh wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim has come under the huge criticism after missing an easy catch during the second fixture of the ongoing three-match ODI series against host New Zealand at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
The veteran wicket-keeper has been criticized as he dropped an easy catch of James Neesham off Taskin Ahmed at the crucial moment of the match. Meanwhile, Mushfiqur has given up the responsibility of wicketkeeper in Tests. Now he is only in charge of wicket keeping in shorter format.
Despite owning 400 dismissals, Mushfiqur is at the top of the list of missed wickets among wicketkeepers. Although he got 86 opportunities, he missed 32 percent of those chances. Dinesh Karthik and Adnan Akmal are jointly missing 22 percent of the chances.
Sarfaraz Ahmed missed 21 percent chances. After that, Kamran Akmal lost 20 per cent, Adam Gilchrist 12 per cent, AB de Villiers 11 per cent, Tatenda Taibu 11 per cent, BJ Watling 11 per cent and Mark Boucher 10 per cent respectively.
