Modi took oath


Narendra Modi has taken oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time in a row.

President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath to him at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the capital New Delhi on Sunday (June 9).

Narendra Modi was sworn in for the third consecutive term as the second leader in Indian history. Along with the Prime Minister, several ministers of the new government are also taking oath. This time Modi is going to form a cabinet of 72 members.

Meanwhile, a grand ceremony was organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan Raisina Hills on the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony. Apart from this, three levels of security measures have been taken. More than eight thousand guests have been arranged for the event.

Among neighboring countries present were Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Maldives President Mohamed Muijju and Seychelles Vice-President Ahmed Afif.

Apart from this, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jagannath and Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay were also present.
