Medical admission test results on Sunday
Selected candidates would be informed through mobile phone messages and the result will also be available on the DGHS website
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will publish the results of the MBBS admission test for the academic session 2020-21 on Sunday evening.
“We have completed all kinds of necessary procedures to publish the result,” said DGHS Director (Medical Education) Prof AKM Ahsan Habib.
He further said the selected candidates would be informed about their results through mobile phone messages and the result will also be available on the DGHS website by Sunday evening.
Dr AKM Ahsan Habib said there were 29 candidates per seat for government medical colleges and 12 candidates per seat for private colleges.
A total of 6,085 out of 1,22,874 students did not participate in the MBBS admission for the session 2020-21.
According to the DGHS, there are 10,697 seats in total, among which 4,350 seats are in the 37 public medical colleges, while 6,347 in 70 private medical colleges of the country.
Under the supervision of DGHS, the MBBS admission tests were held on April 2 at 19 centers across the country amid a surge of Covid-19 infection.
However, The entrance test of dental colleges will be held on April 30.
The admission process for medical and dental students starts from October to November every year, after the HSC results are published.
However, due to the coronavirus crisis, HSC and equivalent exams were canceled in 2020. The government later evaluated the 2020 HSC candidates based on their JSC/JDC and SSC results and published the coordinated results on January 30 this year.
