Many may be arrested in Anna's murder: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that many people may be arrested after the investigation into MP Anna's murder is over.

He made this comment while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Monday (June 10).

The Home Minister said that there have been two cases in Anna's murder. One in India, another by his daughter in Dhaka. The case took place after the main accused Shaheen was acquitted. So, both countries are involved in this incident.

He said that the United States has a prisoner exchange agreement with India, but not with Bangladesh. In that case, India could benefit from getting Shaheen from the US. As a friendly country, India is cooperating in all our activities and will continue to do so in the future.

Asaduzzaman Khan said, I have come very close to the truth in the case of Anar's murder. I can reveal a lot only after the body is confirmed. The recovered bones can be confirmed by DNA testing.

Meanwhile, on Monday (June 10) morning, the Forensic Department of Kolkata said that the pieces of flesh recovered from the septic tank of Sanjeeva residence in New Town, Kolkata were human. However, after the DNA test, it will be known whether the meat belongs to MP or not.

Earlier, West Bengal CID recovered some meat from the septic tank on May 28. However, it could not be confirmed whether it was the meat of the fragmented body of MP Anar or an animal.

Siam Hossain, who was arrested in connection with Anna's murder, was searched by the CID on Sunday (June 9) at Bagjola canal in Krishnamati. After the search, several bones were recovered from the side of a bush. However, it is still not clear whether they are pomegranate or not. Sent to forensics to confirm.

It is to be noted that on May 12, MP Annar went to India from Kaliganj in Jhenaidah to Darshanar Gede in Chuadanga for treatment. Went to the house of a friend named Gopal Biswas on Mandalpara Lane of Barahnagar police station in West Bengal. The next day he left the house saying to see the doctor. Since then, Anwarul Azim has been mysteriously missing.

It is alleged that MP Anar was murdered in Sanjiva Garden on May 13.
