Lutheran Health Care Hospital turns to a centre of corruption


There are allegations of misconduct against the Executive Director of Lutheran Health Care Hospital, Pius Cherao, his accomplices Mousumi Baroi and Rekha Kosta. Workers of the hospital stage protest in this issue.  

It is learned that, Lutheran Health Care Hospital started in 1997 at Dumki in Patuakhali. The hospital has been functioning with good reputation for a long time.  but, after join Pius Cherao as executive director of the hospital it’s became a place of corruption.

Nurse Jutkia Mandal and Namatia Rani Sheel said, "we have been working in this hospital with good reputation, but Pius Cherao and  his accomplices destroyed the hospital. Pius is characterless man. He called nurses to his private room. He told us that there was no need to work. We are getting money from the United States. I did not respond to his offer. So I was threatened at various times. 

Zakari Hosne, a lab trachensian at the hospital, and Mosarfe Hosne said, “Pius Cherao is always craving for woman. He does not have the skills to run an organization. The Lutheran Hospital is well-known and well-maintained. The administration has kept Dobit Ghosh, Mausumi Barai and Rakho Costa made the hospital a centre of corruption. We want the hospital to recover from this situation. And the staff at the hospital wants to see the implementation of the Bureau of Elimination of Humanitarian Affairs and NGO Bureau's program on September 11, 2012.

According to the staff at the hospital, two trucks carrying important medical supplies to the hospital at night did not carry the documents. We have been enduring harassment for a long time by the Pius and his accomplices. Now we are being deceived. We demand its removal.”

In this case, it was not possible to take a statement from Pius Cherao because he did not receive calls.
