Guava Cheese


Guava Cheese is a sweet Goan recipe that with leave your mouth watered by its tempting taste. This easy-to-make recipe is made with guavas, lemon juice, water, salt and sugar. One of the perks of making this palatable recipe is that the dish is made with simple ingredients that are easily available to you in your kitchen. Apart from being scrumptious, the dish is rich in Vitamins which is an added advantage of trying this recipe. Ingredients

2 kilograms pink guava

2 pinch salt

4 cup sugar

10 cup water

4 tablespoon lemon juice

Method

Step 1

To prepare this delicious recipe begin with washing and cutting guavas. Take a deep bottomed pan, keep it on medium flame and pour water in it. Bring it to boil and to this boiled water, add guava. Cook it for at least 10 minutes until guava turns mushy and tender.

Step 2

Once done, remove the pan from flame and transfer the content in a big sieve. Now gently press the guava mixture in the sieve to separate the skin and seeds of the guava from the guava pulp. Keep this pulp aside.

Step 3

In a pan kept on medium flame add the guava pulp, sugar, lemon juice and salt. Cook for 15 minutes at least until you get a jelly like texture. Transfer the mixture in a greased plate and cut into desired shape while the mixture is still warm. Once done allow it to cool and serve.
