Freedom fighter, journalist, teacher family’s Press conference

A press conference has been held in Patuakhali town seeking redressal of the forcible occupation and demolition of several houses of the Hindu community in the center.

At the Patuakhali Press Club on Tuesday morning, the family members of the victims presented a written statement at the press conference. Including several Hindu families have been living since the zamindar period. But recently, local wealthy businessman Shubhashish Mukherjee has been using illegal money and muscle power to oust Hindu families.

The Muktijoddha family has lodged a complaint with the Sadar Police Station. The victims further alleged that Shubhashish Mukherjee was involved in land robbery, fraud and hundi business in the city.

Former Deputy Commander of Patuakhali Sadar Upazila Muktijoddha Unit Badal Banerjee, freedom fighter Aman Talukder and family members of the victims were present at the press conference.
