Four decades with music

Fuad Naser Babu arranged music for many legendary singers as well as directed music for three movies. After the independence of the country, Azam Khan, Ferdous Wahid, Fakir Alamgir and many others started the journey of pop music in Bangladesh. Fuad Naser started working regularly with Azam Khan in 1974 as a bass guitarist. As such, he has been working silently for almost four decades as a musician.

In 1977, the country's traditional Band team 'Feedback' was started by him. He started his journey as a key-boardist for this team. The most popular song of the group so far, 'Melaya Jaiare' was written and composed by Maqsudul hoq and arranged by Fuad Naser. For the past four decades, he has been participating in stage shows at home and abroad with internationally acclaimed musician Runa Laila as a bass guitarist.

Fuad Naser also worked as the music director of Kazi Morshed's 'Chhalona' in 1989, Belal Ahmed's 'Ghar Amar Ghar' in 1990, Ujjwal's ‘Paper Shasti’ in 1996 and Abu Sayyid's 'Apeksha'. Many other musicians including Syed Abdul Hadi, Sabina Yasmin, Rafiqul Alam, Abida Sultana, Andrew Kishore, Fahmida Nabi, Samina Chowdhury have sung to his tune. Several artists of this generation have also sung to his tune. Niloy Das, the son of renowned Bangladeshi musician and music researcher Sudhin Das, has released his first album 'Kato Je Khujechi Tomay' with the music of Fuad Naser Babu.

The album was released in 1986. Niloy Das won the hearts of the audience with that album. Later, Fuad Naser Babu composed the melody of the album 'Mayabi A Raate' for Sumona Haque.

Fuad Nasser said, “People know me well, people love me, this is a great achievement in a single life. Sometimes I got sick. By the grace of God, I am well now. Today (May 31) is my birthday. Everyone will pray for me so that I can be good to everyone in the family.”
