Fizz reaches in India to start IPL mission

Bangladesh ace paceman Mustafizur Rahman has reached India to play the IPL, the cricketer confirmed via a Facebook post. The left-armer on Sunday returned with the rest of the Tigers' squad upon completion of their disastrous tour of New Zealand before he boarded a Kolkata-bound flight and departed for India.

"Landed in India safely and mission IPL starts with Rajasthan Royals. Keep me in your prayers," Fizz wrote on his official Facebook account.

The paceman is just in time to catch Royals' opening fixture on April 12 although following one week of mandatory quarantine, he may not feature in that game. The star pacer was roped in by the Rajasthan Royals franchise, at his base price of INR 1 crore, in the IPL 2021 auction.

Fizz will feature alongside Royals' Ben Stokes in this season's IPL with Jofra Archer ruled out from this edition through injury.
