Ferdous’ ‘1971 Seisob Din’
Film actor Ferdous Ahmed has started work on the movie ‘1971 Seisob Din’ based on the liberation war. Earlier, the film was shot in different locations in Thakurgaon, but since May 20, Ferdous has been taking part in the shooting of the film in the capital's old Dhaka. Ferdous said that he will shoot the movie till May 25.
Hridi Haque, the actress and producer, is producing the story, dialogue, screenplay and direction of the film, which is being made with government grant in the 2018-2019 financial year. In the movie, Ferdous is playing the role of Sanju, who is a professor at Dhaka University.
Regarding acting in the film, Ferdous Ahmed said, “I have acted in films based on the liberation war with or without government grants before. But it seems to me that it is one of the best movies of those. The story of the nine-month-long liberation war has come up in this movie. As far as I know Hridi wrote the story of this movie after hearing stories from her parents and many around her and verifying the veracity of those stories. The heart is not relying on any footage to create the atmosphere of the liberation war while making the movie. Whatever is needed for that scene is being done. The biggest thing is that Hridi is not in any hurry to make the movie. She has been making the movie for a long time. That's why I love to do the job. My character has a connection with the revered Mamunur Rashid, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Shelly Ahsan, Saju Khadem, Milon, Sajal, Orsha, Moushumi Hamid and many others in this movie. I am very optimistic about the movie.”
Ferdous said Litu Anam is working as the set director of the movie. Farhad is the cinematographer.
