England’s tour of Bangladesh pushed to March 2023
The England’s tour of Bangladesh this year was pushed to March 2023, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said Tuesday. England was scheduled to tour Bangladesh this September-October for three ODIs and as many T20 International matches. The three ODIs were the part of ICC ODI Super League.
According to the BCB, they and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have mutually agreed to reschedule England’s planned tour of Bangladesh in.
“According to the itinerary confirmed by the BCB and ECB, the England team will now tour Bangladesh in the first two weeks of March 2023 and play the best of three ODI and T20 international series’ in Dhaka and Chattogram,” a press release sent by the BCB stated.
The BCB however didn’t state any reason for rescheduling the tour.
Bangladesh is now busy with playing Australia, who came here for five T20 Internationals. Australia imposed stringent Covid-19 rules to make the tour happen and BCB agreed. Bangladesh will also host New Zealand in the next month.
