Debut of the 9th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals held


The inauguration ceremony of the 9th Colonel Commandant of Signal Corps under the management of Signal Training Center and School (STC&S) of Bangladesh Army was held at Jessore Cantonment on Wednesday. 

Md. Emdad-Ul-Bari is a Major General of Bangladesh Army and Director General of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies has been inducted as the “9th Colonel Commandant” of the Corps of Signals of the Bangladesh Army.

When he arrived at the venue, a vigilante team from the Signals Corps gave him a guard of honor. Later, the 9th Colonel Commandant was given the rank badge of Signal Corps by the Senior Commander and Senior Subedar Major of the Signals Corps. Colonel Commandant is a very glorious and dignified recognition according to the traditions and customs of the Army.

The newly appointed Colonel Commandant paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the outset of his valuable address to the military members present on the occasion. At the same time, he commended all the heroic freedom fighters, including the heroic fighters of the Signal Corps, who sacrificed their lives in the war of liberation in 1971. He emphasized modern communication, communication security, development of information technology, and research and directed all the members of Signal Corps to continue their relentless efforts to build a digital Bangladesh.
