Cyclone Remal: Biman suspends Cox's Bazar bound flights

Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national carrier, announced the suspension of its flights to Cox's Bazar on Sunday due to Cyclonic Storm Remal.

Additionally, flights BG395 and BG391 to Kolkata are suspended on Sunday and Monday, respectively, according to Bosra Islam, general manager of the Public Relations Wing of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Earlier, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) instructed the Payra and Mongla maritime ports to hoist Danger Signal 7 and Danger Signal 6 for the Cox's Bazar and Chattogram seaports.

The deep depression over the east-central Bay and adjoining west-central Bay moved northwards and intensified into Cyclonic Storm "Remal" over the northwest Bay and adjacent areas on Saturday evening, said the BMD.
